I just recently purchased a gc2310 tlb and I must say what a little brute this little guy is not bashful when it comes time to hoe up some rocks if the arms were longer it could actualy get them out of the hole without blocking up the rock and moving the tractor. I have put almost 30 hours on this little guy and I love it.
but my big concern is the hydrostatic filter location . this filter hangs out down and low with no protection, and while driving over a dirt pile I have broken the filter off of the housing and found that this pump cover is made out of aluminum and you have to removed the rear end to replace the oil filter pump cover housing. and to the tune of $900.00 when you break this I am not very impressed.
so my question is has anyone else had this problem or know anyone who has broken theirs off

I saw this at my dealer. He had 2 of them come in that way.
One of them got broke off while the guy was moving snow and drove over a small bank. Massey should come up with a skid plate or relocate it somplace up out of the way. There bigger tractors have the same low point mounted filter altough the tractors offer better ground clearance. It makes me nervous when I am using the loader. I have to watch for rocks and what I drive over. ....
